Day 1 of 21 Day commitment, Falechia Turman

My name is Falechia Turman and I am one of one of the co-producers of the show; Self Portrait. This is my journey of day one of the twenty-one day commit that the producers, Treena Glover and Bonita Harrison made a commit to do. We are trying to show that real everyday women can make healthy living a commitment and a priority in our lives. We hope that our journey into living healthy would not only make our health better but in turn will help the average everyday woman be successful at their own journey, too.

I am no doctor but I think that the best success to losing weight is just maintaining a healthy diet and routinely working out. We are no glamour stars we are just the average successful woman going through the everyday struggles of losing weight.

What’s on the menu for Day 1 of 21 for me:

Well July 27th was day one of the taping and also day 1 of my new and improve healthy living plan. Well sorry to say I cannot even remember what I ate because I did not log what I ate for day 1. To me I have to focus on logging everything that I eat which in turn will help me really digest what I ate.

What’s on the exercise program of Day 1 of 21 for me:

Well I remember this a lot better since I learning to love exercising. My day start with getting up at 3:30 in the morning to be at the health club by 3:50. I did an hour on the precor machine which burned about 780 calories then at 5:30 I did a spin class which is the best class anyone could every do which probably burned over 700 calories also. I guess you can say I really love this class. Then low and behold when we went to taping they we had to run again and I was like I did my work out for the day but hey I had to do it again because I had to remember this is a team effort and when losing weight you sometime have to take I out the picture in order to successfully lose weight. I say that to say that when you are on a journey to losing weight you have to lose weight for yourself which that is where the I come in. However, when you need that little kick to get you moving you might want to consider budding up with a partner and using that, for a limited time only, as a motivation to get moving. Remember we all have to find a system that works for us!!!
